Once again the visitors concede possession in a unsafe area, Ramsey comes forward and plays Welbeck through with a weighted pass and he makes no mistake, side-footing the ball into the corner of the goal.
"I liked his second goal today, it was really the clean finishing of a goal scorer".
"He has a hamstring [problem]".
A second goal seemed inevitable and record signing Lacazette duly obliged, firing into the top corner after neat build-up play involving Ozil and Welbeck.
He gets stronger and stronger.
After failing to secure a deadline day move to Manchester City, Sanchez was branded out of shape by a former coach and lost two World Cup qualifiers with his national team.
"He's a guy who has a huge physical potential", Wenger said.
Ozil thrashed wide and Welbeck lifted a delicate right-footed just beyond the left-hand upright, with Wenger then introducing Sanchez from the bench 15 minutes from time.
A majority of the crowd backed the Chile global, however, and Wenger insisted the boos had not affected him.
"We have to accept those responses from people". With some of the games that we've played at the start of the season it's not gone too well, but I'm pleased to be on the scoresheet and long may it continue. "It's hard to single anybody out for a bad performance and overall, if you look at the individual performances, they were all quite good".
"I had a chat with him after the game, he didn't look unhappy". Maybe it's because he wanted to score. "The interpretation of the attitude is always very risky".
Welbeck's brace inspired the Gunners to a much-needed victory following two successive defeats heading into the worldwide break - including a 4-0 loss at Liverpool.
"It's always a test when you had such a negative experience as we had, for the mental health of the team, to see how we respond". We had a committed, disciplined and a very good offensive performance.
Coquelin is expected to undergo a scan to address the issue but Wenger confirmed after the game that the Frenchman is likely to be unavailable for the Thursday's Europa League opener against Cologne and the Sunday's trip to Stamford Bridge.
Alvaro Morata opened the scoring with his third of the season before N'Golo Kante fired home against his old club to make the points safe, in a match that saw Eden Hazard make his first appearance of the season for the Blues.
"Jack Wilshere is getting stronger".
Meanwhile, what if Alexandre Lacazette, such a marvellous finisher and completely unerring when Welbeck's good work gave him the chance to double Arsenal's lead from 18 yards, had been trusted to do exactly the same in a match of higher stakes? I don't know yet.
