Liverpool has best attack in Premier League - Lovren

Arsenal have "better players" than the Invincibles of their past but need to better blend technique with physicality, says Patrick Vieira.

Liverpool were never prevented from doing what they wanted to do, and Arsenal never really threatened the Reds' goal.

After scoring on his Premier League debut against Leicester on the opening weekend of the season, the France global was more subdued against Stoke the following game, but whether he deserved to be dropped remains up for debate.

The victory means Liverpool enter the September global break sat in second place on goal difference, tied on seven points with three other clubs and two points off pace-setters Manchester United.

This season, they start a European campaign outside the Champions League for the first time since 1997-98. It's worked good so far.

Asked if he was surprised by the rout of his former team, the Frenchman replied: "No I'm not".

"They won the FA Cup, but that's not the big prize now".

Alexis Sanchez of Arsenal walks off. You could see that we worked very well in pre-season from the two games.

Defender Lovren said: "I'm a Liverpool player and, of course, for me they are the best". There was little hesitation in the Reds' game.

But instead of unleashing hell after seeing his side run ragged on Merseyside, Wenger apparently opted to go for the silent treatment.

The club still hopes to add at least one more player to their squad for the coming season, but Klopp was pleased with the performance of the eleven selected against the Gunners.

The German struck twice against Hoffenheim and said Klopp has urged him to get forward more, something that has been especially significant in the absence of the more attack-minded pair of Lallana and Coutinho. Surely last season's frosty home crowds with their blood-curdling chants and their hired planes with "Wenger Out" banners showed the Arsenal faithful how important it is to give their team a proper atmosphere?

Arsenal fans lost their shit before a ball had even been kicked after Arsene Wenger dropped club record signing Alexandre Lacazette in favour of Danny Welbeck.

According to reports we have agreed to sell the Ox to Chelsea and there are still a few days of the transfer window left.

EMRE CAN felt Liverpool's ruthless demolition of Arsenal was as good as it gets - but is not getting carried away. The quality of the players are completely different.

During Vieira's spell at Arsenal, the Gunners were renowned for their free-flowing football but also for the hard, uncompromising edge they brought onto the pitch.

The anger is mounting, as witnessed on Monday when one furious fan daubed "Wenger Out" in large letters on a wall outside the Emirates Stadium.
