Be the Assassin in Final Fantasy XV's Assassin's Festival

Ubisoft made a rather surprisingly announcement today, revealing a new team up with Square Enix to bring Assassin's Creed Origins-themed DLC to Final Fantasy 15.

As teased at the end of the trailer, you can unlock the Master Assassin costume for Noctis by acquiring the Dream Egg from the Moogle Chocobo Festival before late September.

Then, on August 31, the free Assassin's Festival DLC hoists signs and banners across Lestallum, transforming the town for the event and adding in new events for players to explore. Among that content will be another Assassin's Creed outfit and the chance for Noctis to explore more in the style of and use some of the abilities of an assassin from Ubisoft's franchise.

One such easter egg was included in the most recent Assassin's Creed Origins Gamescom trailer. An upcoming announcement trailer details the DLC's features.

Final Fantasy XV's big week of announcements keeps on delivering, and this time it's a cross over that not many (if any) could have predicted. It will also be available at the launch of Xbox One X on November the 7th. Maybe future Assassin's Creed titles could find its way onto the platform, but for now it looks like Origins will be passing on it. The next day, August 31, sees the start of the Assassin's Festival, a free DLC for FFXV that will "transform" Lestallum, and add new activities, themed items and features (including another AC outfit).

"This collaboration is the result of being huge fans", Ismail said.
