Klopp proud as Liverpool return to Champions League

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed that the club have decisions to make and negotiations to be carried out ahead of a pivotal summer for the Reds.

He said: "It is the best tournament in Europe".

"It is annoying (to miss out) but we had a spell during the season that was hard and it was hard for me in my personal situation".

Guardiola revealed that Sergio Aguero, who scored twice against Watford and could have had more, will remain at the Etihad Stadium next season, along with captain Vincent Kompany, who opened the scoring with a free header from a corner.

Jürgen Klopp has big things planned for his side and Philippe Coutinho is vital to the future of this club.

With the pressure lifted Klopp's side began to enjoy themselves.

Arsenal must be willing to invest greater funds into the playing squad to avoid falling behind their Premier League rivals, says David Seaman.

But it was Wijnaldum's strike, powered past Brad Guzan at his near post, which transformed Anfield from a cauldron of tension to an arena of joy in this final game.

With all 38 gameweeks completed in the Premier League season, it is time for some reflection on the 2016/2017 season.

"But today we had absolutely no defenders, I would like to see which team could do better", he said. "That was what everybody wished for before the game and now we should celebrate".

City routed Watford 5-0 with Sergio Aguero netting a brace in the win that ensured their direct entry into the Champions League, while Manchester United beat Crystal Palace 2-0 to finish sixth with goals to Paul Pogba and Joshua Harrop.

"We will be really strong and we will really fight for it because we want to be there. We want to be there", added the German.

It's uncertain to what degree Lallana expects to be able to attract better players to Merseyside, but it's unlikely that Liverpool are going to be the club that breaks the world record fee for a player in order to get Griezmann's signature this summer.
