Microsoft Announces Project Scorpio, "The Most Powerful Console Ever Built"

The exclusive look of Xbox One S was unveiled in Microsoft's press conference before the E3 2016, Electronic Entertainment Expo, kicks off this week in Los Angeles (via The Guardian).

Features of the new Xbox One S console include 4K Ultra HD video, High Dynamic Range, a 40 percent smaller console design, Streamlined controller and a Xbox One S Vertical Stand is also included in the box. Microsoft describes its upcoming Xbox One S as a "sleeker, slimmer, sharper" makeover. The company has been coming out with a large number of updates and upgrades and has been innovating the way we know the markets to function.

When asked by PCGamesN about the need to close the gap between PC and Microsoft's consoles thanks to its Play Anywhere cross-buy scheme, Xbox boss Phil Spencer said that mouse and keyboard support on Xbox One was just months away.

During E3 2016, Microsoft also released a few details about Project Scorpio, a new console that is slated for release in 2017. Here you can create communities and meet, which let you go back to those people who love the things you do. "And certain developers might go back and decide if they've built a 4K version for PC already for some of their games, they might go back and decide to enable a 4K version for the Scorpio Xbox when it launches".

The Xbox One S supports both 4K video and HDR, and can now be pre-ordered for $300 for 500 GB, $350 for 1 TB, and $400 for 2 TB for August delivery.

Without a doubt, Project Scorpio will also be more expensive than the current models, but specifics in this regard are not yet available. In addition, a Looking for Group feature will allow players to find other players to play online.
